A striking visual depiction of the emotional complexities involved in being a young woman
Raw, bold and eye-catching. Rose Madone uses symbols and colours to depict the emotions that she feels on a day-to-day basis.
Each piece is like a diary entry, a glimpse into her emotional state at that moment in time. The emotions invade the blank pages in the same way that emotions take over and consume your mind. Looking at her work displayed together on the exhibition wall, we jump from one emotion to another, recreating the confusing, volatile and ever-changing emotions that we, as humans, experience in daily life.
Her use of contrasting colours - black and white - represent the contrast and complement in the emotions themselves. To feel happiness you have to have experienced sadness. To feel love you have to know hate. Beige stabilises and tones down the contrast and the severity in some of her work, bringing a sense of calm and order.
In this new exhibition, her trademark symbols - knives, guns and roses - are now intermingled with new elements - bodies, masks and skulls, which introduce new complexities into her work, illustrating her evolution and representing the next level of femininity - Mujer 2.0.

Obra impulsiva y espontánea que retrata las complejidades emocionales de ser mujer.
Fuerte, destacado y llamativo son las palabras que utilizaría para describir la obra de Rose Madone. Una artista joven de París, usa símbolos y colores opuestos para describir las emociones que siente día a día.
Expuestos en la pared, la exposición funciona como una especie de diario visual. Los símbolos invaden las páginas de la misma manera en que las emociones invaden y asumen nuestros mentes. Al mirar de una obra a otra, saltamos entre diferentes emociones, recreando los estados emocionales inestables que todos experimentamos cada día como humanos.
Madone usa blanco y negro para representar las contradicciones, como el contraste y el complemento en las propias emociones. Para sentir la felicidad tiene que haber experimentado la tristeza. Para sentir el amor tiene que ser familiarizado con el odio. El beige parece suavizar y desdramatizar la imagen aparentemente caótica, para que traiga un sentido de orden y tranquilidad.
Esta exposición en Galería Artevistas da un salto hacia adelante: Rose entremezcla sus símbolos característicos - cuchillos, pistolas y rosas - con nuevos elementos - cuerpos, máscaras y calavera. Este enriquecimiento de su lenguaje simbólico introduce nuevas complejidades en su obra y representa su evolución al siguiente nivel de feminidad - es la Mujer 2.0.
